iqoo 13 india launch

do you know what was my favourite value for money flagship phone of this year? It was iQOO 12!
And iQOO 13 is the successor of iQOO 12 & I was very excited about it!
When iQOO 12 came, we said that the performance & cameras were amazing.
If I talk about the phone & its price, then it was an absolutely phenomenal phone!
And I’ll tell you what, iQOO 13 takes it forward!
I have a reservation about 1 thing, but in terms of everything else, iQOO 13 really impressed me!
In fact, if I talk about the performance, then this phone has managed some things that other 8 Elite phones couldn’t.
I’m going to tell you everything in today’s video, this is going to be an exciting unboxing & first impressions!
Let’s open, but before that, if you’re new to our channel, then do hit SUBSCRIBE!
And if you’re a fan of iQOO, then do send them this video as they’re going to love it!
We’re going to love it!
Alright, a black box with BMW’s lettering. I had been to Dubai to test this phone.
I had been to Dubai Auto Drone & we drove BMW’s car.
And we’ve tested a lot of its features, so I’m going to show you some glimpses of that as well.
But this phone is exciting, trust me!
It has a 6000mAh battery, you don’t feel it when you take it in your hand.
And that’s because of the silicon battery which is high density & has a better & bigger capacity.
But it’s smaller in size & weight.
This is the case, it’s of good quality & has documentation.
Then you have iQOO Motorsport, which is the branding of BMW.
It has a 120W HumbleSIM & a big flash charge, so that’s nice.
And USB Type C to Type C charging cable, so that’s nice.
It’s not USB Type A to Type C, it’s Type C to Type C.
Let’s keep this aside & look at the phone, that’s exciting!
First of all, it has a completely flat display.
Obviously, it’s focused towards gamers.
Let’s open this, I don’t like to tear it.
So I’m going to open it slowly & lovingly.
Alright, if I talk about the design, it’s not much different from the iQOO 12.
But there’s 1 good thing, it has monster halo lighting.
Yes, this lights up & it’s RGB, not a single colour.
And that’s interesting as you can customize it.
But there’s another colour in it, Nardo Grey, which is plain.
If you’re a fan of motorsports, you can look at this.
Otherwise, this is a beautiful colour.
It’s understated, actually I like this.
In hand feel, it doesn’t feel like it’s a 6000 mAh battery phone.
Let me tell you, the China variant is 6150 mAh & this is 6000 mAh.
Due to certifications & government regulations, they had to reduce the battery capacity.
But that’s what it is.
If I talk about the weight, all the phones with big batteries are around 215-218 gms.
But I’d say it’s around 207-206 gms.
I don’t think it’s more than that, let’s see.
This is also 215 gms & its weight distribution is much better than other phones.
Because its camera module isn’t that big & protruding, so the front doesn’t feel heavy.
In hand feel is extremely good.
It has a glass metal sandwich design & a metal frame.
I don’t know about the glass protection at the back, but there’s a short sensation alpha at the front.
Whatever the protection, we’re going to drop it.
But there’s a scratch guard, so it’s a satisfaction moment.
It should make that satisfying sound, I hope.
Yes!
Nice!
Alright, let’s drop it.
1, 2.
No, nothing.
1, 2 & 3.
It’s wooden, so it’s a mock drop test.
But think about it, when the phone has so many small sensors, if it drops hard, anything can happen.
There’s a sim card tray at the bottom & a USB Type C port.
There’s a speaker grill on the right side.
There’s a power on & off button, a volume rocker.
There’s a noise cancelling microphone at the top & a speaker grill.
And yes, there’s an air blaster, but it’s inside the camera module.
There’s nothing on the left side.
Let’s start the device.
Look at the display, it’s a big 6.82” 2K resolution, 144Hz fast refresh rate AMOLED display.
Yes, it has HDR10+.
It has a 93.9% screen-to-body ratio.
Look at the bezels, they’re very thin.
It has a peak brightness of 4500 nits.
The HBM mode is 1800 nits.
And yes, it supports PWM dimming of 2592Hz.
The quality of this display is excellent.
It’s a flat display, nowadays flagships have a quad curved display, which is also excellent.
But this is flat, which is absolutely fantastic for gaming.
At the start of this video, I said that the performance is actually surprising.
I’ll tell you why, as we know that the 8 Elite has an amazing performance.
But the phones aren’t able to tame the 8 Elite beast.
But the iQOO 13 did it beautifully.
It has a 7000mm square vapour cooling chamber, but I’ll tell you what, with that, they’ve managed to keep the thermals in check.
That’s the biggest thing, because the 8 Elite phones that we’ve tested so far, they do give performance, but they’re seriously hot.
This is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite.
It’s an LPDDR5X Ultra RAM type.
Basically, it’s the 5X version, and Qualcomm calls it 5T.
Then you have UFS 4.1 storage type.
It has a 6000mAh battery & 120W charging.
There’s no support for wireless charging.
By the way, the battery will last for the whole day in moderate to heavy usage.
You should not have any problems.
We had expected a little more, but with the 6000mAh battery, we were thinking that it’ll last for 2-2.5 days.
But it’s not like that, it’ll last for 1-1.5 days.
If I talk about the Antutu score, it’s a 2.8M Antutu score.
But let’s not talk about the benchmarks.
In the real world, when you’re gaming on it, you’ll be able to play BGMI at 120FPS on extreme ultra settings.
And even after gaming for a long time, the phone won’t get too hot.
And that can be seen in the benchmark test.
We ran the CPU throttle test & it was excellent.
We got an 88% score.
But more than that, we ran the GPU throttle test & we got an 80-81% score.
But that’s not the surprising part.
The temperatures didn’t go above 38%.
When we ran the same test on other 8 Elite phones, we tested it at 44-45 degrees.
Sometimes we had to keep other phones in the fridge as it’s so hot.
But not this one, it just barely got warm & that was impressive.
We also tested the Ray Tracing games on Solar.
We got the highest FPS score of 8 Elite, above 44.
In fact, we got 44.69 FPS, which is excellent!
And because this display supports 144Hz, when you play games on it, it’s amazing!
And do you know why this phone is so good at gaming?
Because it comes with a dedicated Q2 chipset.
So things like frame interpolation are done very well.
That’s why you can play games so well on this.
If we talk about the variants, the base variant is 256GB & the upper variant is 16GB 512GB.
Now there’s another surprising part.
You get this performance at a price which is one of the most affordable for an 8 Elite phone.
This phone is going to come under Rs 55K!
I’m going to talk about the camera & there are a lot of interesting things.
But before that, it comes with Funtouch OS 15 which is based on Android 15.
You’re going to get 4 years of major updates & 5 years of security updates.
And if I talk about the AI features, there’s circle to search, but there’s a Live Call Translation feature.
Meaning, if you’re talking on the phone & someone is talking in English, you have to listen in Hindi.
With the help of AI, you’ll be able to hear in Hindi.
It’s not heavy in terms of AI features, but these 1-2 features are quite good.
And the rest of the standard features like AI Eraser, AI Photo Enhancement etc are available.
And the Monster Halo Lighting is customizable.
Meaning, if you have a phone & you get a call, you can customize it.
You can customize the colors, if you get a notification, you can do that.
You can also keep it on the music & assign different colors.
So that’s nice, it’s a good touch.
Multimedia The display is great, the sound quality is excellent, there are stereo speakers.
So even for multimedia, you’re going to enjoy it.
Connectivity There are sub connectivity options, 13 5G bands, WiFi 7 support, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC support.
And there’s IR Blaster.
Sensors There’s an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, so that’s good.
It’s not a Rs 70-Rs 80K phone, it’s a Rs 55K phone, yet it has an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
There’s face unlock, all of them work well.
Features There’s Shot Sensation Alpha support for the glass.
There’s no notification light, there’s Monster Halo Lighting.
There’s no FM radio, but that’s a big thing for connectivity.
For gamers, this is really nice.
It has a USB 3.2, meaning higher data transfers.
Let’s see if other flagship phones also have USB 2.0, so this is nice.
Camera The primary sensor is Sony’s, the secondary ultrawide is Samsung’s JN1 50MP.
And they’ve got a third one which is 50MP, but it doesn’t have the 3x optical periscope.
They call it a portrait sensor where you can do 2x optical, but you can shoot lossless zoom up to 4x.
The selfie sensor has been upgraded, it was 16MP before, but now it’s 32MP.
The good thing is that you can shoot 4K 60FPS with all the sensors.
We’ve shot a lot of photos & videos, I’m giving you the G-Drive link.
If you’re thinking of buying, please go & check out these photos.
One thing I found positive is that the colours & photos in low light are good.
Even in normal light, the colours are good.
The dynamic range is good, but the sensor relies more on processing.
When I did the iQOO 12 video, the most surprising part was the camera output & it was excellent.
Even this one is quite good. And there’s a reason, the Vivo X series & its algorithms have all the intelligence in the iQOO phones.
And it definitely has an advantage & it’s visible.
Camera Features Snapshot, Night Mode, Photo, Portrait, Video Mode, Slow Motion, Time Lapse, Long Exposure, Ultra HD Document, Panorama, Fish Eye Mode, Live Photo, Pro Mode, all the features are there.
In Portrait, you can take 100mm portraits, but it’s a 4X & it’s lossless zoom.
It’s not optical, it’s lossless zoom & they come out quite well.
In fact, if you look at the screen or at the G-Drive, you’ll see that we’ve taken a lot of photos.
Another good thing is that it supports IP68 & IP69, so it’s completely dust & water resistant.
No problem, even if it falls under water, you shouldn’t have much problems.
Performance The performance of the iQOO 13 is above par, especially for gamers.
It has USB 3.2, Antutu Score & the actual gaming performance is excellent.
Display is seriously good, it’s a bright display.
It doesn’t have Dolby Vision, but you get HDR10 support even on Netflix & YouTube.
Display & performance is great.
It doesn’t have wireless charging support, but you get 120W wired charging support.
Camera They’ve carried it on, but in all other aspects, the iQOO 13 is a big upgrade.
You get an 8 Elite phone under Rs 55K.
You get all the features you need in a flagship phone like IP69, ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, great display & 8 Elite performance.
Camera is not the highlight, but everything else definitely is.
Before ending the video, let me tell you that this video is done in collaboration with iQOO.
But whatever I’ve said in this video, we’ve experienced & tested everything.
And that’s what we’ve told you.
This is the iQOO 13.
